WHY SETTER VISION?
I want to share my faith and how God keeps me grounded throughout my volleyball career and recruiting process. My club is a Christian based club and we pray at the end of every practice and at the beginning of every match. It becomes routine to thank God for keeping us safe and for blessing us with the ability to play.
- Psalm 23:1-3-"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name's sake." This verse spoke to me in a really mentally challenging season in my life. It reminds me that God will calm the storms in my life and lead me every step of the way.

What does it mean to "Run the Race with Perseverance"?
“Run the Race with Perseverance” means to keep running and and chasing our goals no matter what gets thrown into our paths. God will protect us as long as we choose to put Him first.
How do you "Give Everything" both on and off the court?
I always play my hardest, even if I make mistakes. We grow more from our losses than our victories. I want to help my team the best I can. I also aim for high grades. Academics is just as important as athletics and giving everything to keep those high grades shows who you are as an athlete. Giving everything also means to give back, so volunteering and serving God’s kingdom is another indication of the type of person you are.
How do you "Keep Your Eyes on Jesus" while playing volleyball?
I don’t play volleyball for myself but for Him. Jesus gave me the ability to play volleyball, so everything that I do on the court is for Him. My coach told me that as a setter, we are called to be servant leaders and Jesus was the ultimate servant leader. We might not get the glory, but we can give the glory to something greater than ourselves.
