WHY SETTER VISION?

I’m sharing my story on Setter Vision because I want to share my faith through playing the sport I love. I was 10 years old when I first started playing volleyball. I joined my first club team when I was 13 and I quickly fell in love with the sport. My favorite thing about playing volleyball is when the entire team is bringing a lot of energy during a close game.

What does it mean to "Run the Race with Perseverance"?

To run the race with perseverance means never give up even when it gets hard. The “race,” is the Christian life. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, and we are called to stay on the course and remain faithful until the end.

How do you "Give Everything" both on and off the court?

I give everything I have on and off the court by trying to be a good teammate, leader, and role model to others. I hope that by being a servant to others that will lead them to Christ. I know that I don’t only have to work hard on the court, but off the court as well.

How do you "Keep Your Eyes on Jesus" while playing volleyball?

I keep my eyes on Jesus when I play volleyball by knowing that He is the one that gave me the capability I have. Without Him I wouldn’t be where I am today, and I am so thankful for that every time I step on the court.
